Programs by Age

We group young students so each child trains with peers at the right stage.

Ages 6-8

Coordination, listening skills, and the fundamentals of jiu-jitsu taught through games and drills.

Ages 9-12

Kids Jiu-Jitsu FAQ

What age can my child start?

Children can begin as early as age 6. We have dedicated groups for ages 6-8 and 9-12, with teens able to move into our adult classes as they grow.

Is jiu-jitsu safe for kids?

Yes. Our kids classes run in a supervised, structured environment that emphasizes control, respect, and technique over roughness.

Is jiu-jitsu good for shy or very energetic kids?

It can be a great fit for both. Jiu-jitsu builds confidence and focus, and gives active kids a positive, structured outlet.

How far is CJJF from Graham, Mebane, and Gibsonville?

About a 10-15 minute drive from each, so families from across Alamance County train with us.
